Inter Miami star Lionel Messi has expressed delight after winning the club’s first-ever MLS Cup title on Saturday.
Messi played an inspiring role in Miami’s 3-1 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps as he registered two assists on goals from fellow Argentines Rodrigo De Paul and Tadeo Allende.
Speaking after the game according to ESPN, Messi pointed the title triumph as a “beautiful emotional moment”.

“This is the moment that I’ve been waiting for, and that we as a team have been waiting for.
“A beautiful, emotional moment for us, for the people of Miami, to be able to achieve the MLS objective.
“It’s a very new club, so to speak…this was the real objective, to win MLS and be at the top of the American league, and luckily we achieved it…so we have to enjoy it”.
