Commissioner, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Public Complaints Commission, Hon. Musa Dikko, has revealed that eight thousand complaints have been received since assuming office in November 2024.

Speaking yesterday in Abuja when he received 11 District Heads of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) to enlighten them on their rights, he said four thousand cases had been treated so far.

He said five thousand cases were pending, explaining that there were cases that he inherited.

Dikko said it was important to enlighten the district heads on the mandates of the commission, especially how to go about their cases whenever they (district heads) and their followers feel unjustly treated in their communities.

On his part, District Head, Galadimawa, Alh. Musa Barde said most of their farmlands had been taken from them without alternatives, making most youths jobless, while some of them had become prostitutes and criminals.

Speaking at the event, District Head of Idu, Alh. Ishaq Ibrahim stressed the need to adjust the masterplan of the FCT because it was affecting the communities.

District Head of Mabushi, Hon. Hassan Mabushi, and his counterpart from Gwarimpa, Alh. Umar Bayero, also spoke at the occasion.
