2Baba’s family petitions police, accuses Natasha of assault, bigamy

The family of Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia has petitioned the Inspector General of police, accusing his wife, Natasha Osawuru of assault,
bigamy and financial misappropriation.

In a letter dated November 12, the Idibia family urged the
police authorities to investigate a number of incidents they claim have caused
the singer emotional distress, financial loss and reputational damage.

The petition stated that the family received reports from
2Baba and witnesses alleging physical assault in the UK and Abuja, alongside
claims that Natasha accessed and transferred funds from the singer’s phone and
bank accounts without authorisation.

The family also accused her of withholding his personal
documents, including his passport, allegedly preventing him from honouring
business engagements.

The petition alleged that some of her actions have exposed
the music star to potential financial setbacks and public embarrassment, while
raising concerns over his emotional well-being and safety.

The family further requested that the police investigate what
they described as possible fraudulent misrepresentation and alleged violation
of marriage laws.

The petition accused Natasha of bigamy. They alleged that
2Baba had not completed his divorce proceedings with Annie Macauley Idibia
before Natasha began presenting herself as his new wife.

They said their intervention became necessary following
several distressing developments that “appear to compromise 2Baba’s personal
safety, career commitments, and financial stability”.

The controversy began when 2Baba’s former managers Kaka
Igbokwe and Lori Tosan appeared on Daddy Freeze’s live stream.

They accused Natasha of seeking “full control” over the
singer’s finances and career.

The situation escalated when 2Baba suddenly joined the live
session and forcefully told the former managers to stop discussing his private
life.

However, shortly after his intervention, loud arguing
between him and Natasha became audible off-camera.

Their voices grew increasingly heated before the live
broadcast was abruptly ended.

However, reacting to the distressing episode, Hyacinth took
to his Instagram story, sharing lyrics from 2Baba’s song ‘Diaspora Woman’.

The Edo house of assembly recently asked Osawaru, member
representing Egor constituency, to appear before its ethics and privileges
committee over her recent viral conduct.

The singer also recently appealed to his followers and the
public not to escalate his marital issues because it “is putting Natasha at
risk”.
