Zamfara state chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as its presidential candidate for 2027 election.

The endorsement came during a stakeholders’ meeting held at the residence of Senator Abdulaziz Yari on Saturday.

The decision followed a motion moved by Sen. Sahabi Ya’u representing Zamfara North Senatorial Zone and seconded by Hon. Abdul Malik Zubairu member representing Maru and Bungudu federal House of representatives respectively.

Speaking earlier, Senator Abdulaziz Yari appreciated the decision taken by all APC members of the party.

“We will remain resolute and stand for our decision of endorsing president Bola Ahmed Tinubu as our presidential candidate under our great party APC in the upcoming 2027 general election in the Zamfara state,” Yari stated,

He called on APC members in the state to remain united for the success of President Tinubu and APC in the state.

According to him, the party can not succeed in the upcoming 2027 election where unity, peace and progress are tempered among members of the party in the state.

“We can not attain any success particularly in the next 2027 election when we are not united, hence the need for all card carrying to always be united and remain law abiding citizens,” Yaro stated.

Also speaking, former governor and minister of state defense, Hon. Bello Mohamed Matawalle, advocated for respect to all leaders of the party in the state.
