The former governor of Sokoto state, Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has urged the indigenes and residents of state to remain united as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) organs were employing different strategies to wrestle power from the All Progressives Congress (APC) come 2027 elections.
Tambuwal commended the PDP supporters PDP) in Sokoto state for their resilience and commitment to the party.
The ex-governor, currently in the 10th Senate, representing Sokoto South, stated this in Sokoto while flagging off the distributions of foodstuffs to 30,000 households to observe Ramadan fasting with ease, said the PDP had gone far in its move to wrestle the power that was stolen from it during the 2023 elections.
He noted that the people of Sokoto state were tired of APC-led government’s unpopular policies which brought about untold hardships and poverty.
According to Tambuwal, under the APC-led government, life of an ordinary citizen had become harder and harder because its ill-conceived economic policies.
“We will soon, Insha Allah, get there; we are strategizing to take over what was stolen from us during the 2023 elections and make life much better.”
He, however, commended the PDP representatives at state and national assemblies for giving quality representation, supporting their people through empowerment programmes which, according to him, had helped assuage and alleviate the people’s sufferings.
