The Amalgamated Association of Fruits, Food items and Beverages has described the visit of the  Minister of state Defence, Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawwalle, to Zamfara state  enhanced businesses transactions and boosted the economy of the state

This was stated by Chairman of the associations, Malam Hamisu Lawal ‘Yankuzo, in a phone interview with Blueprint Newspaper

He said that the minister’s growing popularity coupled with president Tinubu’s impressive performances especially on road constructions will give the APC and its candidates upper hand come 2027 general elections.

Yankuzo stressed that the two-day working visit by the Minister had shown a clear difference between his administration and the present Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stewardship.

He said during the two days visit, the minister interacted freely with commoners.

“Nobody was molested as everybody had direct access to the minister despite security men attached to his entourage. 

According to him, their businesses have recorded immense patronage as most items were exhausted and traders resorted to sourcing more commodities from nearby markets.

“Traders enjoyed the visit because they recorded bumper patronage, our busineses flourished.

“We have to source more commodities from nearby town as we ran out of stock.”

In appreciation of the visit, traders in Damba, Lalan and Sabon Fegi in Gusau metropolis have reduced the prices of their goods.

“The visit has rekindle and will greatly enhance the APC and president Bola Ahmed Tinibu’s chances to win 2027 elections.

”We pray for Matawalle’s return as the governor, we are yearning for good governance which Zamfara people missed since 2023 ,” the chairman stated

He highlighted that the group popularly called ” Tsayi da Kafafunsu” would continue to support Matawalle and work toward his re-election.
