National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda on Thursday launched the All Progressives Congress (APC) Northwest E-Registration Train-the-Trainers Refresher Training in Kaduna, a cornerstone of the party’s digital overhaul ahead of the 2027 elections.
Represented by Deputy National Chairman (North) Dr. Ali Bukar Dalori, Yilwatda hailed the programme as a leap toward “innovation, discipline, and unity” in membership management.
“This is how we modernise the APC and guarantee internal democracy,” he declared.
Kaduna State Governor and Northwest APC Coordinating Governor, Senator Uba Sani – represented by SSG Dr. Abdulkadir Meyare – praised the timing, linking it to Kaduna’s Smart City and Open Government initiatives.
“Accurate registration strengthens legitimacy and grassroots power,” Sani said.
National Organising Secretary Alhaji Muhammad Sulaiman Argungu stressed President Bola Tinubu’s backing for a “smart, transparent, and accessible” party where every member is “visible, verifiable, and valuable.”
E-Registration Committee Chairman Lord Mayor Emma Eneukwu detailed the rollout across Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara, and Jigawa.
Members must present NIN and INEC voter numbers; the system replaces manual registers and prioritises youth, women, and PWDs.
The day-long session covered digital tools, data security, and mobilisation tactics.
