No fewer than 14 people escaped death when a trailer carrying cows lost control and overturned at Secretariat Junction in Jos, the Plateau state capital.
Our correspondent gathered that the incident happened on Thursday night when the trailer apparently coming from the Gada Biu axis overturned and emptied it’s contents at the foot of the secretariat junction bridge.
The Public Relations Officer of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Plateau state, Yakubu Longsan, who confirmed the incident, said that no life was lost as 14 people were injured and taken to the hospital.
He said. “The incident happened last night (Thursday night). 14 people were rescued and taken to the hospital by our men. No life was lost.”
Plateau state government had promulgated the Executive order 003, which prohibited the entry of big trucks and trailers into the city centre.
