LOKOJA – A total of 10,465 students of tertiary institutions across the three senatorial districts of Kogi State have applied for the 2025 bursary award organizes by the Senator Sunday Steve Karimi Education Foundation and Tinubu Support Group Bursary Award.
In a statement issued by the Central Committee of the scholarship programme, issued on Saturday in Lokoja, disclosed that the registration for the scholarship commenced on the 1st of August and ended in the midnight of 31st August, 2025.
According to the statement, the next phase of the process is the sorting and screening stage that would ensure a transparent selection of the qualified 3,000 successful applicants of kogi state origin in tertiary institutions in the country
The statement said “After this stage, the names of the successful applicants would be published in due course”
The Committee enjoined all applicants and interested parties to follow the DSSK Media Team for updates, noting that Senator Sunday Steve Karimi is fully committed to ensuring that all applicants are given equal opportunity throughout the process to ensure transparency, accountability, and equity to all applicants.
Recall that Senator Steve Sunday Karimi Education Foundation in the month of July, 2025 hinted that a total of 3000 slots would be shared among the three senatorial districts of Kogi East 1000, Kogi Central 610, while Kogi West has 1390 to be won by students of Kogi state origin in public tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
