Comfort Jimtop, a 100-level student of Taraba State University (TSU), Jalingo, has been  found dead in her boyfriend’s apartment.

The deceased who was said to have hailed from Takum Local Government Area of Taraba, was of the Department of Mass Communication of TSU.

Under yet to be clear circumstances, the body of  the student was found  on Friday afternoon.

Sources said the police empty bottles of hard drinks beside the bed where the  student died.

Daily Trust gathered that there are 15 tenants in  the house where the body of the student was  found but all the tenants, including the owner of the room where student body was found, all ran away from the house.

Police  Public Relations Officer in Taraba, ASP Leshen James, confirmed the incident in a telephone interview with Daily Trust.

He said the boyfriend of the late student identified as Emmanuel Shata is also a student of Taraba state University.

He said when the police went  to the house where the student died, they did not meet anybody there.

He added that investigation was ongoing and the police were on the trail of Shata and other tenants.
